Freelance writer

Hi, I’m a freelance writer, living in Edinburgh, Scotland.

I write mostly about music and the arts, and have been published in The Times, The Herald, The Guardian, Resident Advisor, Haaretz and The Wire, and I was deputy editor and music editor at The List magazine for five years.

I occasionally host Q&As or chair discussions at book and film festivals, or review books and music on the radio. I’m also available for copywriting, proof-reading and editing, and have recently done work for the National Galleries of Scotland, Dundee Contemporary Arts and V&A Dundee.  I’m a member of the National Union of Journalists and have attended the Women’s and General Conferences of the Scottish Trades Union Congress  as a delegate of the Edinburgh Freelance branch.

Currently contributing as a freelancer for:

The Herald, The Times, The List, The Wire, BBC Radio Scotland, Glasgow Film Festival, Wigtown Book Festival, Resident Advisor
